who am i?

I’m Melanie and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a fun-loving, compassionate, and goal oriented mother of 3. I have my Master’s Degree in School Counseling and am energized by making meaningful connections with students and their families. Prior to school counseling, I worked as a Marketing Director and Account Manager for food & beverage brands. Helping students develop an application narrative and a unique and captivating identity is a form of marketing that I simply adore.

Through my counseling experience, I’ve seen just how powerful it can be to create a space where students are able to freely explore and express their aspirations. Through my process of engaging, equipping, and empowering students, they are creating pathways to a stronger sense of self, purpose, and meaning, which has become my greatest passion in this work.

As a first-generation college student, I remember the sense of panic and anxiety that came over me when it was time to take on the seemingly ominous college application process. Navigating the application process, athletic recruitment, college essays, letters of recommendation, standardized testing, and campus visits was something my family had no experience with and the sense of overwhelm was intense. By breaking the process down into manageable pieces and being a partner in this process it is my hope to replace that panic and anxiety with excitement and optimism for the families that I work with.

my mission.

Let’s Launch was created to offer a collaborative and student-centered approach to the college search and application process. I am dedicated to guiding students and their families through this transformative time.

I believe that the college search is an enriching journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I strive to create meaningful connections with each student, assisting them in crafting a compelling narrative that showcases their passions, engagement, and achievements in all aspects of their high school career. My goal is to 1) engage students in their college planning journey, 2) equip students with a strong sense of self and knowledge around the college planning process and the tools to navigate it, and 3) empower students to confidently move into this next chapter of their lives with the tools to articulate their unique abilities and their career aspirations ensuring their readiness to thrive in any college environment.
