Launch College Counseling maintains this website and materials for the use of its customer, students, parents, guardians, and other Site users ("Users") upon agreement to the following terms. Please read the terms carefully before using the Site. Use of this website indicates acceptance of these “Terms of Use” and forms a binding agreement between you and South Bay Educational Consultants. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this Site.

1. Use of Services / Materials

Users may not modify the Materials in any way or reproduce, share or distribute them. Users may not copy, reproduce, duplicate, distribute, disseminate, publish, post (on social media, online, or elsewhere), display, perform, modify, create derivative works from, upload to, transmit, or in any way exploit any content from the Website.  Users may not sell or offer for sale any of the content, or allow third parties to access it, or use such content to construct any kind of database. Users will keep all Materials confidential, and will not sell, auction, loan, rent, give away, describe, summarize, or otherwise reveal the Materials or their contents, to any other person or entity. Any breach of these Terms of Use automatically terminates your authorized use of the Site.‍‍

2. Trademark and Copyright

South Bay Educational Consultants and certain other brands, trademarks, and service marks are marks of South Bay Educational Consultants and its affiliates. The Materials on this Site are copyrighted, and any unauthorized use of any Materials on this Site may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws. All materials – including but not limited to text, photographs, video, audio, images, and any other content – appearing on the Website are protected by copyrights and/or other proprietary rights belonging to Launch College Counseling and/or other third parties.

‍3. No Guarantees

Users understand that using my services does not guarantee any application decision or outcome. Launch College Counseling cannot and does not purport to guarantee admission into any particular school or tier of schools. Launch College Counseling cannot and does not purport to guarantee any specific financial aid package, program, scholarship, or award. Designated fees are payable whether or not the user gains acceptance to the school of choice.

4. Non-Agent Status

Launch College Counseling is an independent educational consulting company. Launch College Counseling is not an agent and does not work for or on behalf of any particular institution. Fees are not accepted from institutions or programs for referral or placement of a client.

5. Code of Ethics

Users understand that Launch College Counseling is not a consulting service that is going to write essays for Users. At no point will Users request thatLaunch College Counseling write essays on their behalf or perform any other act of academic dishonesty.

By enlisting services, Users agree to refrain from any act of academic dishonesty including, but not limited to, using artificial intelligence chatbots, plagiarizing, or fraud. Any such act of academic dishonesty committed by the User is neither endorsed, nor encouraged, byLaunch College Counseling, and should any such academic dishonesty occur, Launch College Counseling will terminate services effective immediately, without a refund.

6. User Responsibilities in the Admissions Process

• Substantially completing all relevant written work in a timely manner

• Preparing and studying for any admissions entrance exams

• Scheduling of and making university visits

• Sending official test scores to universities

• Securing academic and personal recommendations

• Completing and sending applications

• Monitoring status of applications and advising universities of enrollment intentions

7. Refund Policy

There are no refunds for any services, used or unused. Users understand that obligation for payment is binding for the full duration agreed upon. 

8. Cancellation Policy

Launch College Counseling reserves the right to cancel a strategy session meeting by giving Users notice in writing (including by email) at any time before the meeting is due to start. Launch College Counseling will refund all fees paid by Users and if possible, will endeavor to offer to reschedule the session to another time as an alternative, subject to payment or refund of any difference in purchase price. Launch College Counseling’s liability when it cancels a strategy session will be limited to a refund of the Fee or any other charges paid for the cancelled meeting. 

​If User cancels a strategy session less than twenty-four (24) hours before strategy session is scheduled to take place, User will be subject to a fee of fifty dollars ($50).

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event will Launch College Counseling , its suppliers, or other third parties mentioned at this Site be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, those resulting from lower admissions outcomes, interruption of services or inaccurate information) arising out of the use, inability to use, or the results of the use of this Site, any websites liked to this Site, or the Materials or information contained at any or all such sites, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not advised of the possibility of such damages. If your use of the Materials or information from this Site results in the need for servicing, repair or correction of equipment or data, you assume all costs thereof.

10. Applicable Law

In the event of any dispute that may arise in connection with this Agreement, the parties agree to make a good faith effort to resolve such dispute prior to filing any claim. Should the parties be unable to resolve such dispute, the parties agree that any claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement, or the performance of Services hereunder, will be determined and settled by binding arbitration in Chittenden County, in effect at that time. The determination of the arbitrator shall be final. The User agrees and understands that Launch College Counseling shall not be liable for outcomes in the college admission process and that admission to any class, college, scholarship program, or any particular college or extracurricular program is not and cannot be guaranteed.

11. Effective Date and Updates

The Terms are effective as of June 1, 2024 and are subject to change without notice by Launch College Counseling at any time. Please check for changes regularly. Your use of this Site after such changes constitutes your agreement to such changes.
